Found these toadstools out on a hike in the trails of Southwestern Ontario (although I can’t recall where we were hiking at the time)

The most perfect Honeysuckle flowers from my backyard. The colour of the pink is so vibrant! But the aphids that like to feast on them are less desirable

Tiny little maple struggling to grow amongst the shale. I loved the combination of grays and blues in the rocks, the vibrant reds of the little maple and the bright green of the little plant.

St. Paul’s Bay in Malta at twilight. The orange at the horizon, the violets of the water and the yellow glowing windows across the bay created a truly magical scene. Such a serene moment in time as the boats pulled into the bay for the evening

Ripley’s Aquarium has tanks full of different kinds of jellyfish. The Friday night we arrived, there was a symphony playing to the peaceful floating of the jellyfish. It made the experience otherworldly! And the colour combinations were stunning. The kids however were more interested in the Stingrays

Many steps to the waterfall along skinny trails and wooden steps, but the view was absolutely stunning with an endless array of greens

Macmillan Park after a rain. The groves were absolutely silent - almost eerie! But also peaceful. I could not believe how massive the trees were in circumference - truly something to behold in person.

The Solitude Nature Reserve is a true gift to individuals wishing to walk the trails, sit by the pond or enjoy overnight camping all free of charge. I never fail to leave this place without inspirational photos to guide my painting.

The colours were so vibrant when I visited in July 2025 that my device couldn’t adequately replicate them. You have to see the flora and fauna for yourself to truly appreciate the beauty

I love walking along the Dalewood trails and through the paths, over the bridges and around the reservoir at Waterworks Park. These branches with the vibrant reds, oranges and yellows were directly beside the reservoir where the turtles were sunning themselves.

Found this dumpster behind the local Walmart! Couldn’t take my eyes off the contrasting blues, reds and oranges. It may be a dumpster but the texture and colour harmony are something else!
